Justin Bieber's fans are so powerful that, Thursday morning, they brought him back to life.
Don't worry; nothing bad actually happened to the beloved Canuck pop star. Bieber was simply the latest victim of a death hoax with the words "RIP Justin Bieber" trending on Twitter earlier this week.
Poor guy. First, he has to fend off Selena Gomez breakup rumours, and now this!
But the 18-year-old "Boyfriend" singer's loyal followers quickly reclaimed the RIP tag, creating a more positive message.
"RIP Justin Bieber? Yes! Justin is a Really Inspiring Person!" tweeted Denise Sykes. "Thank you for complementing him, it's much appreciated! :)"
Meanwhile, a number of other fans wrote a variation on @MustachioBieber's tweet, "Rip Justin Bieber? I know he's really inspiring, thanks."
According to Gossip Cop, the new meaning of RIP was first applied to Lady Gaga after she became the victim of a death hoax early Tuesday.
Like Gaga, the Biebs has had to fend off death rumours in the past.
The last time the Canadian pop star "died" was actually two months ago. On March 11, "RIP Justin Bieber" trended worldwide on Twitter, though the source of the rumour was unclear. And in January 2011, the #RIPJustinBieber tag trended after the pop star appeared on "CSI" in an episode in which his character died.
