Juvenile suspect arrested after deadly stabbing in Yuba City restaurant parking lot, police say

A man was killed Saturday after he was allegedly stabbed by a juvenile suspect in a Yuba City parking lot, police said Monday.

Around 7:40 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to a call about a stabbing in a parking lot next to In-N-Out Burger and Chili’s restaurants at 1300 Annette Way, the Yuba City Police Department said in a news release on social media.

Police located 21-year-old Andrew Porras, of Plumas Lake, with a stab wound on the right side of his chest. He was transported to a hospital in Marysville where he later died, according to the news release. His identity was confirmed by the Sutter County Sheriff’s Office.

Police found and arrested the suspect, a boy, on suspicion of homicide. His identity was not released because he is a minor. The Police Department said the stabbing was an isolated incident and the suspect and victim had no known association with one another.
