KCSO: Traffic stop leads to black tar heroin discovery

A traffic enforcement stop led to the discovery of 160 grams of black tar heroin, 16 grams of methamphetamine and two loaded firearms on Thursday in the area of Olive and Knudsen drives, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.

Driver Mathew Christy, 33, was arrested and booked into the Lerdo Justice Facility on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sales and transportation, felon in possession of a firearm/ ammunition, possession of a controlled substance while armed, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm by a gang member and participation in a criminal street gang, KCSO said in a news release.
