Lake Isabella motorcyclist dead after crashing on Highway 178: CHP

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A motorcyclist is dead after losing control and crashing in Lake Isabella Tuesday morning.

On July 2, the California Highway Patrol responded to Highway 178 and Mobile Drive for a crash involving a motorcyclist. The rider was traveling westbound on Highway 178 near Mobile Drive when they made an sudden turning movement, sending them down an embankment.

The motorist was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene, according to CHP.

The Kern County Coroner’s Office will release the name of the victim at a later date.
