LAPD searching for driver who hit, killed pedestrian in South L.A.

The Los Angeles Police Department has released new images of the suspect vehicle involved in a deadly hit-and-run crash last month.

It happened on June 19 around 11:10 p.m. on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard near Budlong Avenue in the Vermont Square neighborhood of South L.A.

The Police Department posted a video of the deadly crash online which shows a dark SUV striking a pedestrian who was standing in the middle of the road.

The victim is then seen being trampled and dragged by the vehicle as it sped away without stopping or providing assistance as required by California law. The vehicle is last seen driving south on MLK toward Walton Avenue.
