Police say they arrived to find Jonathan Pena, 26, and his sister, Jacinya Pena, 23, shot while inside a vehicle.

Police say Jonathan Pena was pronounced dead at the scene and Jacinya Pena was transported to a local hospital where she later died as a result of her injuries.

Police say add that a 15-year-old girl, seated in the backseat of the vehicle, was struck by shrapnel and received minor injuries.

The Police Department is asking anyone with information on who may be responsible for the deaths of Jonathan Pena and Jacinya Pena to call Las Cruces Police at (575) 526-0795.
