Las Vegas DMVs to accept Nye County residents after fire closes Pahrump DMV

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Las Vegas-area DMVs may be a little busier for an unknown period of time after a fire forced the Pahrump DMV to close.

According to Nye County, on July 26, a fire broke out at the Pahrump DMV located in the 1700 block of East Basin Avenue and caused extensive damage to the interior of the building.

Due to the damage, the Pahrump DMV office will be closed for a unknown period of time.

Las Vegas-are DMV offices agreed to accept “walk-in” traffic for Nye County residents, a release from the county said.

Nye County residents visiting Las Vegas DMVs should tell the check-in desk they are from Nye County and they will be serviced without an appointment, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Drive test customers out of Nye County will be rescheduled to the Flamingo DMV office, according to the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles website.
