Las Vegas police: Armed man arrested after forcing woman into car, leading officers on chase, crash

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – An armed man police said forced a woman into a truck and later led officers on a chase in the northeast Las Vegas valley has been arrested.

It happened on Thursday shortly, before 3:30 p.m. in the 4500 block of East Charleston Boulevard near Lamb Boulevard.

Las Vegas Metropolitan police started investigating the incident as a kidnapping and stated that it was “domestic-related.”

Officers said they later found the truck, which led to a chase. It ended when the truck caused a crash with another vehicle and then struck a wall of an apartment complex near East Lake Mead Boulevard and North Pecos Road, according to police.

The man was then arrested and the female was found safe by police.

The two people in the vehicle that were hit by the suspect were taken to the hospital. The incident remains under investigation.
