Las Vegas woman charged for unlicensed medical procedures; fillers caused injury, police say
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Metro police suspect a woman performed medical procedures without a license, including injecting people with filler, leading to one person needing surgery, the 8 News Now Investigators have learned.
Kayan Hung Corredor faces charges of performing a health care procedure without a license resulting in substantial bodily harm, among 18 other charges, records said. Hung Corredor most recently ran a business called “KH Aesthetics,” police said. Social media pages for the company were wiped as of Wednesday.
On Jan. 8, Las Vegas Metro police stopped her during a traffic stop in the northwest valley, documents said.
In 2023, a woman told police she received Botox and fillers from Hung Corredor, documents said. The victim was under the impression the provider was licensed and accredited.
After two years of services, with injections to her neck, back, buttocks, forehead and face, the woman developed a reaction to the injections, police said. A doctor then “removed a lot of […] foreign substances in her body,” officers said.
Hung Corredor signed a document with the State Board of Cosmetology saying she would not perform any services that require medical supervision, police said. She does not have a medical examiner, nursing or pharmacy license.
Police also allege that the certificates Hung Corredor displayed on Instagram include some from nonexistent cosmetology institutions. Investigators also suspect she may have illegally performed the procedures at her home.
Charges against a second person may be forthcoming, police said.
Hung Corredor posted a surety bond and was due to return to court on Feb. 13.
