Last Day of Our Lady of Fatima Parish Festa in Ludlow
LUDLOW, Mass. (WWLP) – The 76th Festa in Ludlow came to a close on Monday. The five-day long Festa saw about 110,000 people, with many more coming out on the final night of celebrating Portuguese culture.
Attendees got to enjoy traditional food and take part in the annual raffle. This Labor Day tradition was not only a celebration, but also the biggest fundraising event for the church.
“That is a very humbling experience, you know we’ve been fortunate enough to be here for 76 years and to see people leave happy and say we’ll see you next year is a great accomplishment for both the fundraising, the church, volunteers and committee as a whole,” expressed Our Lady of Fatima Parish Festa President, Scott Gomes-Ganhao.
All Festa proceeds go towards improving church infrastructure and maintaining the musical performances.
