Nonprofit leader Mark LeMaire will return to The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida after leading the United Way of St. Johns County since 2022.

Beginning Aug. 26, LeMaire will be the foundation's vice president for strategic donor initiatives, a newly created position. He will oversee grantmaking by the philanthropists who have funds based at the foundation.

Foundation President Isaiah Oliver said LeMaire has a "wealth of experience working with donors and nonprofits to maximize the impact of philanthropy in our region."

Beginning in 2013, he held multiple leadership positions at the foundation. He departed in 2022 to lead the St. Johns United Way, which has now launched a search for a new CEO and named board member Kelly Green as interim leader.

"We thank Mark for his visionary leadership," board chairman Bobby Crum said.
