Level 3 ‘Go Now’ evacuations ordered for pair of wildfires on Deschutes National Forest

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A pair of wildfires in Deschutes County have prompted Level 3 “Go Now” evacuations.

Officials say the Round Mountain Fire (30 acres) and the Wickup Fire (40 acres) are burning on the Deschutes National Forest north of Wickiup Reservoir.

The Level 3 “Go Now” evacuation orders apply from the National Forest area north of Wickiup, Forest Service Road 4262 and Forest Service Road 4380 and south of Forest Service Road 42 (South Century Drive).

The Level 2 “Be Set” warnings have been issued for the National Forest area between Road 4380 and the Deschutes River, including the Bull Bend and Wyeth Campgrounds as well as private inholdings along the west side of the river at Haner Park.

Additionally, Level 1 “Be Ready” warnings are for those in the Haner Park subdivision east of the Deschutes River.
