Authorities allege on May 23, Gordon, who is housed in the jail's mental health unit, was observed by an officer allegedly sharpening a spoon and attempting to pop the lock on his cell door, according to an affidavit of probable cause.

Gordon initially complied with the officers, but when they attempted a body pat down he tried to pull away, the affidavit said. An emergency code was called and responding officers took Gordon to the ground where he continued to resist until his legs were shackled.

Three hours later, an officer assigned to move Gordon back to his cell noticed that he had manipulated his cuffed hands from behind his back to the front of his body, the affidavit said. When Gordon was told that his hands were going to be cuffed behind his back, he allegedly attacked nearby officers.

Less than a half-hour after the second incident, Gordon continued to refuse to comply with the escort to his cell prompting the jail to use “multiple” applications of pepper spray, the affidavit said.

No officers were injured in the three confrontations, according to the affidavit.

Andre Gordon Jr. allegedly told officer to "leave him alone." Here is what allegedly happened next

On May 29, authorities allege corrections officers were conducting cell searches for maximum custody inmates in the mental health unit.

When the officer informed Gordon that his cell was going to be searched, he told the officer to “leave him alone,” and that he didn’t trust him.

After Gordon refused multiple orders to come to the cell door to be handcuffed, "multiple applications" of pepper spray were used on him.

When a four-man team attempted to enter the cell, Gordon allegedly positioned himself in front of the door.  After the team entered, Gordon allegedly started fighting with officers.

During the struggle Gordon knocked off a gas mask used to protect officers from the pepper spray fumes, the affidavit said. The officers were eventually able to gain control of Gordon and shackle his legs and wrists and place him in a restraint chair.

Two officers were treated for injuries at Doylestown Hospital including a fractured finger and a bite wound, the affidavit said.

Gordon had not been arraigned yet on the new charges as of Monday. His formal arraignment on charges in the murder case is scheduled for July.

He faces a long list of offenses in Pennsylvania in the March 16 crime spree including three first-degree murder charges in the deaths of his stepmother, Karen Murphy Gordon, 52, his half-sister Kera Gordon, 13, and Taylor Daniel, 25, his ex-girlfriend and mother of his two children, and the attempted murder of his father, Andre Gordon Sr.

Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty if he is convicted.
