Little Rock 3-year-old shot in July 4th incident dies from injuries

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Police in Little Rock have confirmed that a 3-year-old child involved in a shooting on Thursday has died from their injuries.

Officials with the Little Rock Police Department said the little girl had originally been taken to Arkansas Children’s Hospital in critical condition.

No information on the identity of the child has been released by investigators outside of her age.

LRPD officers responded to a home in the 12000 block of Saint Charles Boulevard on reports of an accidental shooting Thursday just before 4:45 p.m.

A second child, the little girl’s 6-year-old brother, is suspected in the shooting. Police have not reported any injuries to that child.

Department officials said the investigation into this shooting is ongoing.
