Meanwhile, the thunderstorm moving into the valley is creating windy conditions and dropping rain near Harry Reid International Airport as it heads north across the middle of the valley.

At around 1 p.m., the National Weather Service issued a flood advisory for Clark County, including Las Vegas, Rainbow Canyon, and Red Rock Canyon. The weather service said the advisory is in place until 3:45 p.m.

Shortly after, they issued a flash flood warning for Henderson and southeastern parts of the Las Vegas Valley. NWS said flash flooding is expected in low-lying areas and across roads with low water crossings.

An 8 News Now camera crew encountered water gathering Thursday at Boulder Highway and Russell Road, and Galleria Drive and Burns Road in Henderson.
