Lobster diver finds brick of suspected cocaine in ‘Bunny’ package in Florida

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A brick of suspected cocaine, wrapped in a “Bunny” package, was discovered by a lobster diver in the Florida Keys on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Florida Keys Sheriff and Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, the diver was about a mile offshore of Tavernier when they made the shocking discovery.

The image, shared by Florida officials, shows the block of drugs wrapped in a plastic covering with a yellow bunny skull, with the word “Bunny” underneath.

The package was turned over to the U.S. Border Patrol.

According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Spiny Lobster sport season continues Thursday, and the regular Spiny Lobster season begins Aug. 6. For more information on rules and regulations, click here.
