Long-term lane restrictions returning to northbound Route 15 in Adams County

Long-term lane restrictions will soon resume on two stretches of a major route in Adams County, PennDOT said in a release.

Weather permitting, on Monday, July 15, left lane restrictions will be implemented on northbound Route 15 from the Maryland line to the Taneytown Road exit, and from the Hanover Road exit to the Schrivers Corner Road exit.

Work being performed include shoulder and guiderail upgrades, concrete road patching, grinding of the pavement surface, and repairs to adjacent structures, the release said.

In mid-September, the same project will be conducted on the right lanes of these stretches, and the lane restrictions will switch to the right lanes.

All work is expected to be finished by February of 2025, the release said.

Similar restrictions had previously been in place until July 3.

The work is part of a 14.8 mile preservation project on Route 15 in Freedom, Cumberland, Mounty Joy, and Straban townships in Adams County.

The $8,318,599 project is being handled by New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company, Inc., of New Enterprise, Pa., the release said.
