Louisiana man killed in motorcycle crash in Livingston Parish

HOLDEN, La. (BRPROUD) — Louisiana State Police are investigating a deadly Monday afternoon motorcycle crash in Livingston Parish.

According to a press release, shortly after 1 p.m., troopers were called to a single-vehicle crash on Louisiana 441 near Herman Hutchinson Road.

During an investigation, troopers learned a 2005 Honda motorcycle, driven by Tommy Moseley, 64, of Independence, was headed north on Louisiana 441 before he failed to turn in a curve, veered off the road, hit a culvert and entered a ditch.

Moseley was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to state police. He was taken to a local hospital to be treated for serious injuries before he died.

Standard toxicology samples were taken and submitted for analysis.

This is an ongoing investigation.
