Lyman motorcyclist seriously injured after crash in Arundel

Jul. 19—A Lyman man is in critical condition after a crash in Arundel Thursday evening.

Chase Boisvert, 24, was brought to Maine Health in Portland with serious injuries after a crash at the intersection of Route 111 and Limerick Road in Arundel, according to York County Sheriff Bill King.

Boisvert was driving his 2017 Harley Davidson motorcycle when a 2013 Kia Forte, driven by 57-year-old Paula Gregoire of Arundel, pulled out into traffic in front of him, King said.

The motorcycle hit the sedan and both drivers were brought to the hospital.

Gregoire was treated and released from Maine Health in Biddeford Thursday night. The road was closed until 8:35 p.m. and the crash remains under investigation, according to police.

King said in a phone interview Friday that he does not know Boisvert's current condition and there are no charges yet.

He said he's concerned because this is the third motorcycle crash in York County this week. He said drivers need to share the road with motorcycles, and motorcycle riders need to be careful as well.
