Dauphin County man jailed after robbery: ‘I’m fresh outta jail,’ police say

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A Dauphin County man who has two prior robbery convictions and was recently released from jail is back after court documents say he is facing charges for a third alleged robbery.

Shayne Calloway, 30, of Harrisburg, is accused of robbing and threatening to shoot a child around 9 p.m. on Wednesday, according to the charges filed by Lower Paxton Township Police.

“Don’t report this, I’m fresh out of jail, I’ll kill you,” Calloway is quoted saying during the robbery, according to the criminal complaint.

Police said they were told the alleged victim was walking to the Giant store to get food and drinks, and when they were near the Mattress Firm, located at 5125 Jonestown Road, Calloway appeared in front of them.

Calloway told the young person to “walk down the embankment with me, don’t run, or I’ll shoot you,” and then showed a gun that was under his shirt, the complaint says. Calloway managed to get an EBT card before he walked away, the complaint says.

Following the robbery, Calloway was found sitting on a curb next to Mission BBQ on Route 22 by police.

Police noted in the criminal complaint they did not find the EBT card or a firearm on Calloway. It was also noted that Calloway was previously convicted of robbery twice.

Calloway is facing a felony charge of robbery and misdemeanor charges of terroristic threats with intent to terrorize another, and recklessly endangering another person.
