Can you mail your ballot on Election Day in Oregon? Here's what to know

Hundreds of mail ballots wait to be verified at the Marion County Elections Office on Oct. 31 in Salem.

Oregonians who are not able to make it to the nearest ballot box by Election Day can still mail their ballot on Tuesday. Here's what to know.

Election Day takes place Tuesday, Nov. 5.

Ballots that are turned in by mail must be postmarked by Election Day.

County clerks around the state have recommended that those who wait to mail their ballot until Election Day should take it to a post office so it gets postmarked rather than putting it in a mailbox.

Ballots will be counted if they are postmarked by Nov. 5 and received within seven days of Election Day.

Oregonians can track their ballots on the Secretary of State's website.
