Man accused of public sexual indecency at East Valley movie theater

A man was arrested by Queen Creek police after he was accused of public sexual indecency at a movie theater, according to court records.

Court records said 71-year-old Jeffrey Boyer was suspected of inappropriately touching himself which was captured on surveillance video at a Harkins Theatre near Rittenhouse and Ellsworth roads on Monday.

The theater manager reported the incident to Queen Creek police, and Boyer was arrested.

Boyer initially told police he was stretching his legs because of a medical condition, but he later admitted to inappropriately touching himself after he was informed of the security footage, according to court records.

Boyer was arrested and booked into a Maricopa County jail on charges of public sexual indecency and disorderly conduct, according to online jail records.
