Man allegedly assaults passenger with bottle on MTA bus: Police

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) — Police are looking for a man they say assaulted someone with a bottle onboard an MTA bus in Brooklyn back in June.

The incident happened near Slocum Place and Coney Island Avenue just before 8 p.m. on June 10. A man allegedly approached another 57-year-old man on the bus and the two began arguing, according to police.

The argument escalated and the man began hitting the 57-year-old with a bottle multiple times, investigators say. He then allegedly ran off the bus towards Coney Island Avenue.

The 57-year-old was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries but is expected to survive, say police.

Authorities have released a photo of the person they say is wanted in connection with the incident.
