Man allegedly fires shot a girlfriend, kids in Raleigh

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is accused of shooting at his girlfriend and their kids in Raleigh on Tuesday.

Sidney Crawford, 35, is charged with Attempted Second-Degree Murder and two counts of Aggravated Assault.

On June 18, the victim left home, intending to end her relationship with Crawford.

However, Crawford convinced her to drive back to the area of Ramill Road and Yale Road so he could say goodbye to their children: a 1-year-old and a 3-year-old.

According to reports, Crawford tried to get in the passenger side of the car, but the victim wouldn’t let him.

That is when Crawford allegedly ran to the driver’s side and fired a shot. The victim drove off but received cuts in her arm from shattered glass.

On June 19, Crawford went to a home in Parkway Village in an attempt to apologize to the victim. In fear of being assaulted, she called the police and Crawford was taken into custody.
