Man arrested after group attacks driver with machete before stealing his shoes, police say

A man is under arrest after police say he attacked someone with a machete in an alleged road rage incident in Colerain Township on Monday.

In a press release, Colerain Township police said officers were sent to the 8400 block of Colerain Avenue at about 2:02 p.m. A victim at the scene said he was followed by someone after a possible road rage incident that began on Ronald Reagan Highway.

The victim and his passenger were stopped at a traffic light at Colerain Avenue when multiple suspects exited a vehicle and approached them, the release states.

They opened the victim's door and began assaulting him with a large machete, dealing "significant" lacerations to his extremities, police said.

The suspects also stole the victim's shoes before fleeing the scene.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he was treated for injuries not considered life threatening.

The investigation by Colerain police led to the arrest of 38-year-old Patric Tucker. He is charged with felonious assault and aggravated robbery and is being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center.
