Man arrested for allegedly shooting, killing man in Northeast El Paso

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A man has been arrested for allegedly shooting and killing another man in Northeast El Paso, on Monday, July 8, according to El Paso Police (EPPD).

Tristan Alexander Colgrove, 24, has been taken into custody and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility with a $1,000,000 bond, according to EPPD.

On July 8, officers responded to a welfare check on the 5300 block of Byron St., EPPD said.

When officers arrived, a 26-year-old male victim was seen to have a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene, EPPD said.

According to EPPD, an arrest warrant was obtained for Colgrove for murder.

This is the 10th murder of 2024 compared to 20 at this time last year.
