Man dies in Bath County crash

BATH COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — A man is dead after a crash in Bath County Saturday.

Virginia State Police says 51-year-old Keswick Forrest Phillips from Warm Springs was driving east on Route 39 around 9:30 p.m. when he ran off the side of the road and hit and a tree.

VSP believes speed and alcohol played a role in the crash. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

Phillips died at the scene. The crash is under investigation.
