Man found dead with gunshot wounds near Fountain Creek identified by Pueblo coroner

A man who was found dead with apparent gunshot wounds July 21 was identified July 26 by the Pueblo County Coroner’s Office.

The body of 46-year-old Puebloan Aaron Steven Graham was discovered near the 2800 Block of Dillon Drive after police were called to the area on a report of a body found close to Fountain Creek.

Officers arrived at the scene and found Graham dead with apparent gunshot wounds, according to a Pueblo Police Department news release.

Detectives are investigating his death as a homicide.

Pueblo County Coroner Brian Cotter announced Friday that an autopsy has been scheduled for Graham and his next of kin has been notified.

Graham’s death marked the 15th homicide in the city of Pueblo so far in 2024.
