Man found dead in motel parking lot after shooting in Northeast Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man was found dead in a motel parking lot after a shooting in Northeast Portland’s Madison South Neighborhood late Saturday night, Portland police say.

Just before midnight, officers responded on a report a man had been shot in the 3600 block of Northeast 82nd Avenue. On arrival, they found the man dead in the motel parking lot.

Any possible suspects had left the scene before police were called and no arrests have been made, officials say.

Northeast 82nd Avenue was closed between Northeast Milton Street and Northeast Beech Street for the duration of the investigation.
