Man killed in rollover crash in Salt Lake City’s Glendale neighborhood

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — A man was killed in a rollover crash in Salt Lake City’s Glendale neighborhood early Saturday morning, according to Salt Lake City Police.

Shortly before 4:30 a.m. on July 27, police received reports of a crash near 1200 West 2100 South. Officers responded to the scene and found a Dodge Ram on its side, with the driver trapped inside the vehicle.

Salt Lake City Fire responded to the scene and extracted the individual.

The man, 50, was declared dead on scene. His identity is not being released at this time.

Based on the initial investigation, police believe the driver was heading east on 2100 South when he lost control of the truck, drove through a fence, and hit two parked pickup trucks, causing his vehicle to roll.

This crash marks the fifth traffic-related fatality in Salt Lake City for 2024.
