Man killed in Southeast DC shooting identified

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said it has identified a man who was shot and killed in Southeast D.C. on Saturday afternoon.

Police said that at about 4:10 p.m., they responded to the 2700 block of Shipley Terrace for the report of a shooting.

The man died at the scene. He was identified as 29-year-old Dionzae Foote, of Oxon Hill, Md.

MPD currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
