Man shot near Roses in Chesapeake

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Chesapeake police are investigating an early morning shooting that happened outside of a Roses over the weekend.

Police say it happened around 2:23 a.m. Saturday. They got a report that there was a shooting at the “Roses” on Western Branch Blvd. and found evidence of a shooting in the parking lot behind the store.

Shortly after, investigators got a call that a gunshot victim had arrived at a local hospital. They said the victim was man and he was shot once. The wound was considered non life-threatening.
