Cards, gun stolen from car break-in at Embassy Suites: Police

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man broke into a car at an East Memphis hotel, stole several credit cards, and then used them to make purchases at a Home Depot last week, Memphis Police say.

On July 8 at 11:30 a.m., officers responded to a theft from a motor vehicle at Embassy Suites at 1022 Shady Grove Road.

Local grocery store forced to close due to frequent thefts

The suspect reportedly broke into a white Chevrolet Silverado, stealing credit cards and a pistol.

MPD says after the break-in, the suspect used the victim’s credit card to buy gift cards at a Home Depot.

No arrests have been made at this time.
