A man from Townsend claims a $100K lottery prize after purchasing 2 scratch-off tickets

A Delaware man won $100,000 earlier this month playing the Delaware Lottery.

A 58-year-old man from Townsend, who wished to remain anonymous, claimed the top prize of $100,000 for the instant game CASH PARTY on July 2 at Lottery Headquarters in Dover.

A loyal Delaware Lottery player since 2020, he purchased his winning ticket at Shore Stop #260 in Townsend. The man usually purchases two tickets after work. And after scratching one of his purchases, a cashier told him the store couldn’t cash his prize because the amount was too high, according to Delaware Lottery.

Delaware Lottery quotes the man as saying he immediately felt a “rush of excitement” before sharing the news with his wife. He plans to use the money to pay bills and treat himself and his wife to a “much-needed vacation.”

If you wish you had an extra $100,000, there’s still a chance you can become a winner. Three $100,000 top prizes remain, along with the PLATINUM PAYOUT with a top prize of $150,000.
