Marlborough man arraigned on child pornography charges for second time in a month

MARLBOROUGH A local man already facing child pornography charges has been arrested again on a new charge, according to police.

Police say they arrested Eyan David Scott, 25, Wednesday at his Stacey Road home after an investigation. Scott was arrested after police served several search warrants where several child pornography files were found. Police then obtained a warrant for his arrest from Marlborough District Court and served it on Wednesday.

Scott is charged with possession of child pornography.

Wednesday's arrest was not Scott's first. On July 1, he was arraigned in Marlborough District Court on a charge of child pornography, animal cruelty and sexual contact with an animal.

According to the Middlesex District Attorney's Office, the new charges stem from the ongoing investigation where new evidence was found, and he was arrested on Wednesday.

During Scott's arraignment Wednesday, also in Marlborough District Court, his bail was revoked in the July 1 case, and he was ordered held without bail for 90 days. A judge set $1,000 bail on the new case. He was also ordered to have no contact with children younger than 16, to have no contact with any animals and is banned from using the internet.

Marlborough police referred questions about the allegations to the Middlesex District Attorney's Office. The District Attorney's Office would not comment on the allegations.

Scott is due back in court on Aug. 23 for a probable cause hearing.
