Meridian woman dies in motorcycle crash on State Highway 21

ADA COUNTY, Idaho (ABC4) — A 20-year-old woman was killed in a motorcycle crash in southern Idaho Saturday night, according to Idaho State Police.

The single-vehicle crash occurred at around 8:30 p.m. on June 29. The crash took place on State Highway 21 near milepost 9.5, just east of Lucky Peak Dam in Ada County.

A Meridian woman, 20, was reportedly riding a 2024 Yamaha YZFR3 in the left-hand lane when she “failed to negotiate a curve, overturning the motorcycle,” according to a press release from Idaho State Police.

The woman died on scene, police said. She was reportedly wearing a helmet during the crash.

This incident remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.
