Missing Nocona man's body found in Clay County

A search party found the body of a missing Nocona man in Clay County on Tuesday, according to a media release from the Clay County Sheriff's Office.

Bryce Dingler's body was found in a densely vegetated field through a coordinated effort and was identified through on-scene investigation, according to the media release.

Dingler had been last seen July 17 near Butler Road about a mile from Jolly on U.S. Highway 287.

On Tuesday, the Clay County Sheriff's Office organized a search party including family members of Dingler, volunteers and law-enforcement officers to carry out a more refined search of the area where his truck was found.

His family was notified, and his body was sent for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. The investigation is ongoing.

The Sheriff's Office thanked area, state and local law enforcement, as well as everyone who shared information on social media, called with tips and information. The SO was grateful for the overwhelming support and assistance received during the investigation.
