Mom accused of using stun gun on disabled son at Kern Medical

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A woman is facing felony charges after Kern Medical security guards reported seeing her use a stun gun on her disabled adult son — who has the mindset of a 2-year-old, according to a court filing.

Police were alerted immediately after the July 3 incident and officers approached the woman, Tisa Marie Armijo, and the son’s stepfather in the hospital parking lot, according to a warrant filed in Superior Court. They found a VIPERTEK stun gun inside a purse in the couple’s vehicle, police said in the warrant.
