More heat and lower afternoon storm coverage for Central Florida

It’ll be dry and hot across most of Central Florida on Wednesday with lower storm coverage in the afternoon.

The highest chance for afternoon storms will be more inland, according to NWS Melbourne.

There could be scattered storms by Leesburg with isolated showers near Kissimmee and Okeechobee.

Temperatures will be in the low-to-mid 90s with the heat index peaking at 105 degrees.

There is a moderate risk of rip currents at all area beaches.
