Motorcyclist dead in Whitney crash

WHITNEY, Texas (FOX 44) – A 52-year-old man is dead after a three-vehicle crash in Whitney.

Police Chief Kyle Nevil says officers responded to a major crash in the 800 block of E. Jefferson Street at approximately 5:11 p.m. Monday. The crash involved three vehicles, one of which was a motorcycle.

The motorcycle had a single occupant who was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver has been identified as Jason Collins, of Whitney. No other injuries have been reported.

The Texas Highway Patrol, Hill County Sheriff’s Office, Whitney Fire Department and EMS also assisted in working the crash.
