MPD: Man arrested in connection to Northwest DC shooting

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said it has arrested a man in connection to a Northwest D.C. shooting that happened on Friday night.

MPD said that at about 11:40 p.m., a man pulled out a gun during an argument with the victim inside a business in the 3500 block of 14th Street.

The man then fired the gun, hitting the victim and injuring himself.

When officers arrived they found the man and the victim injured.

Both had non-life-threatening injuries.

The man was placed under arrest. Police recovered a gun during the investigation.

Police arrested and charged 24-year-old Santos Duarte-Euceda, of Northwest with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Carrying a Pistol without a License Prior Felon and Possession of Unregistered Firearm.
