Nashville International Airport ranks among the top 10 U.S. airports

Tennessee's largest and ever-evolving Nashville International Airport is one of the top 10 airports in the United States, according to an analysis by AirHelp.

Nashville International Airport ranked sixth nationally in AirHelp's 2024 Ranking of Global Airports and 18th worldwide. Salt Lake City Airport, Washington Dulles Airport, and Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport ranked as the top three U.S. airports.

AirHelp, which sells travel insurance plans for lost bags and flight disruptions, completes an annual data-based evaluation of all international airports. Its ranking is based on an analysis of service quality, on-time performance, claims processing, and shops and dining. From May 2023 to April 2024, the company acquired data and surveyed passengers about airports where they recently traveled.

The final score prioritizes on-time performance — contributing 60%, followed by service quality (20%) and food and shops (20%), according to the AirHelp Score report.

BNA received a total AirHelp score of 8.17, with on-time performance achieving 7.8 points, customer opinion earning 8.9 points and food and shops obtaining 8.5.

Over 4,000 airports are logged in AirHelp's database, but the analysis was scaled down to 239 airports from 69 countries, depending on the busiest airports by flight traffic and most popular with flight travelers for their global ranking.
