One dead after three motorcycles involved in crash

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — According to CSPD, one person died on the scene of a crash near Penrose Hospital on Tuesday evening, June 18 and multiple others were injured.
CSPD said three motorcycles were involved in the crash just before 8 p.m. on Tuesday, and at least one of the motorcycles collided with a car that was traveling eastbound on Jackson Street. One person was found dead on the scene and another was taken to the hospital. A third victim took themselves to the hospital, CSPD said. The driver of the car was uninjured.
CSPD said speed is suspected as a factor in the crash.

North Nevada Avenue is closed in both directions south of Fillmore Street due to a crash, and the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) is asking the community to avoid the area.
CSPD posted about the crash shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, and said Nevada Avenue was closed from East Van Buren Street to East Jackson Street, just north of CommonSpirit Penrose Hospital.
