"Mass General Brigham remains open to provide care to patients with urgent health concerns in our clinics and emergency departments, and we continue to care for all patients currently receiving care in our hospitals," its press release stated. "We have dedicated every available resource to resolve this issue as quickly as possible, and we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused our patients. It is our highest priority to ensure that our patients receive the safest care possible."

Portsmouth Regional Hospital and Frisbie Memorial Hospital of Rochester were operating normally, according to Ellen Miller, spokesperson for the local HCA Healthcare hospitals.

"Our health system has not been directly impacted by CrowdStrike's technology issue and we are working with our vendors to understand any issues they may be facing," Miller said. "We do not expect the incident to impact our ability to provide care to our patients."

Dover announces outages

The city of Dover has been affected by a global technology outage that impacted numerous organizations worldwide. This outage was caused by a software update from CrowdStrike, a cybersecurity firm whose products are widely used across various industries, including the Dover.

"I want to assure residents this is not a security incident or cyberattack," said City Manager J. Michael Joyal, Jr. "CrowdStrike has identified the issue, isolated it, and deployed a fix. Most of the City of Dover's systems have been successfully restored."

However, the city's Information Technology Department is still working diligently to restore some remaining affected systems and appreciates the public's patience during this time.

Currently affected systems include:

  • The City of Dover's official website

  • Online permit portal

  • Online bill payment portal

  • Online access to maps and property records

  • Online service request portal

Updates will be provided as the remaining systems are brought back online.

Please contact the relevant city departments directly by phone for any urgent matters.

Dover officials said they apologize "for any inconvenience and appreciates the public's understanding as work continues to resolve the issue."
