Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (R) made a prediction in January that sounds pretty ominous for Donald Trump’s election hopes now that President Joe Biden has pulled out of the 2024 campaign.

“The first party to retire its 80-year-old candidate is going to be the party that wins this election,” she said.

Biden has endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris, who is more than two decades younger.

Haley was running against Trump for the Republican presidential nomination at the time, and was briefly a fierce critic of the former president, calling him “unhinged” and “not qualified.”

She continued to draw a sizable protest vote even after leaving the race.

She has since given him her “strong endorsement.”
