LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) – Nine victims have come forward with accusations of abuse by former Lancaster City Police Officer Andrew “Scott” Selby.

Selby was first charged in March 2024 after police learned he allegedly sexually abused a teen rape victim he was assigned to assist in 1997. Additional charges were filed in May after five more people came forward with allegations against Selby, many of whom were underage at the time and while Selby was an officer in Lancaster.

“We’d like to express our gratitude to all the victims for their bravery in coming forward and want to reiterate our commitment to a thorough investigation,” said Lancaster Police.

Selby was a police officer for Lancaster City for six years and left in August 2000.

Police released photos of Selby from the time of the alleged assaults in an effort to potentially locate additional victims.

Selby is facing multiple charges including rape, sexual assault, rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, and other related charges.

Anyone with information on the investigation is asked to call police at 717-735-3319.
