New Jersey's primary election is Tuesday, June 4. Voters in both the Republican and Democratic parties are making their selections for candidates seeking the U.S. presidency, seats in the U.S. Senate and seats in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Just after 9 p.m., the Associated Press had called the presidential race:
President Joe Biden is New Jersey's Democratic nominee for president
Former President Donald Trump is New Jersey's Republican for president
The Associated Press had also called the New Jersey primary contests for U.S. Senate:
Rep. Andy Kim secured the New Jersey Democratic Party nomination for U.S. Senate
Curtis Bashaw, the Cape May developer, won the New Jersey Republican Party nomination for U.S. Senate
The Senate race could also include incumbent Democrat Sen. Bob Menendez, the Garden State's senior senator who is on trial in lower Manhattan on bribery, corruption, fraud and obstruction charges. Menendez announced Monday that he would seek to run as an independent.
