Norman PD warn residents of phone scam

NORMAN, Okla. (KFOR) — The Norman Police Department is warning the community of phone scam calls in the Norman area.

According to the Norman PD, scammers are claiming to be current and past police officers in order to get personal information or money regarding outstanding warrants.

LOCAL NEWS: Oklahoma A.G. warns of overdue toll charge scam

Authorities want to remind the public that they will never call asking for money in regards to a warrant. If you receive a call like this, hang up immediately.

Norman PD says you can call 405-321-1444 to report the scammer.
