Northeast Corridor rail service suspended and more disruptions for NJ commuters; What to know

NJ Transit has reported that the Northeast Corridor rail service is suspended in both directions impacting service into and out of Penn Station New York due to Amtrak wire issues near Newark Penn Station.

North Jersey Coast line is suspended between Long Branch and Penn State New York while the Raritan Valley Line Service ends at Newark Penn Station due to Amtrak overhead wire issues near there. Trains into and out of Penn State New York are subject to up to 60-minute delays.

Eastbound Midtown Direct service is being diverted to Hoboken, New Jersey.

NJ Transit rail tickets are being cross honored by PATH at Newark, Hoboken, and 33rd Street-NY and NJ Transit and private carrier busses according to their post on X.
