Northern Arizona will get a sneak peek of winter weather this weekend
High elevations in northern Arizona could see snow late this Halloween weekend as temperatures drop across the state.
The weekend will kick off with dry, breezy conditions. Rain showers will start on Nov. 2 and continue for a couple of days, according to the National Weather Service office in Flagstaff.
Beginning Nov. 3, the rain will get colder, and areas above 6,500 feet will receive snow through the next morning.
Most of this early snowfall, a couple of inches, will accumulate in areas above 7,000 feet. There will be a low risk for hazardous driving conditions due to slick, snow-covered roads, the weather service said.
Warm, dry weather will resume on Tuesday and quickly stop on Wednesday as the National Weather Service office in Flagstaff predicts another chance of showers.
